The educational process at Jay College of Health Sciences, Inc. depends upon a close working relationship between students and faculty. Therefore, students are expected to attend all scheduled classes for which they registered. As a courtesy, students are expected to inform their instructors (or the office) if they know they will have to miss a class. It is the responsibility of the student to address missed material with the instructor and to arrange for make-up work. Attendance is recorded daily for all programs. Grievance and Complaint Procedures
Students who want to appeal academic or disciplinary actions shall submit a written complaint about reconsideration to the school. Upon receipt of the appeal, a copy will be forwarded to the instructor, and the administrator of the school will be notified.
Students will be contacted by school personnel within 5 (five) business days and given an appointment to meet with the instructor. During the instructor/student meeting, steps will be taken to investigate and resolve issues. A decision on the appeal will be given at the end of the meeting and written copies of the decision are provided within two business days. If a student is not satisfied with the decision, he/she can forward the appeal to the administrator of the school within 2 (two) business days. A meeting with the president of the school will be arranged within 10 (ten) business days.
The total appeal process, through the school, shall be completed in no more than 30 (thirty) business days. If a student is not satisfied with the institution’s decision he/she may forward their appeal to the school email firstname.lastname@example.org
